CAR-T Cell Therapy for Lymphoma in China
Four NMPA-approved CD19 CAR-T products are available in China for relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma — for patients whose disease has stopped responding to standard chemoimmunotherapy.
Who this is for
CD19 CAR-T therapy targets B-cell lymphomas, a group of blood cancers that includes diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL, the most common form), high-grade B-cell lymphoma, primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, and mantle cell lymphoma. It is generally considered once standard treatment — typically chemoimmunotherapy such as R-CHOP — has failed to control the disease or the disease has relapsed.

What to expect
- Pathology confirmation — your reviewing physician confirms CD19 expression and your specific lymphoma subtype from existing biopsy slides or a fresh sample.
- Bridging therapy, if needed — some patients need a short course of chemotherapy to control the disease while cells are manufactured.
- Apheresis, manufacturing, infusion — as described in our CAR-T process overview.
- Response assessment — typically by PET-CT around 28–30 days post-infusion, then at defined follow-up intervals.
Risks specific to lymphoma CAR-T
Cytokine release syndrome and neurological side effects (ICANS) are the most common serious reactions in the first two weeks after infusion, and are actively monitored for during the inpatient stay. See our full safety overview for detail.
